The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) Nigeria, has concluded a two-day workshop aimed at assessing the nation’s infodemic management performance and formulating a one-year national roadmap for improvement.

The workshop emphasized the importance of building on insights from the Joint External Evaluation (JEE) to bolster Nigeria’s infodemic management capacity. It also sought to align national efforts with global standards and enhance the country’s Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) performance in future assessments.

The event convened representatives from key ministries, departments, and agencies, alongside members of the Nigeria Infodemic Management Team, to promote collaboration and strengthen coordinated action against misinformation and emerging public health threats.
