The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has emerged victorious in the 2025 Nigeria Cape Town Convention (CTC) Moot Court Competition. Daniel Falodun, representing UNILAG, defeated Eloho Tolulope Okandeji of the University of Benin to claim the top prize.
The competition, which tests students’ knowledge and advocacy skills on international aviation and secured transactions law under the Cape Town Convention framework, saw law students from several Nigerian universities showcase their legal reasoning and courtroom skills.
Falodun’s win underscores UNILAG’s continued prominence in legal education and advocacy competitions, while also highlighting the growing interest among Nigerian law students in international law and cross-border legal issues.
The runners-up, including Okandeji from the University of Benin, received commendations for their outstanding performances, signaling a strong pool of legal talent across the country.
This victory adds to UNILAG’s impressive track record in moot court competitions and reinforces the university’s commitment to nurturing top legal minds in Nigeria.
