Hospital Appeals for Help to Reunite Rescued Kidnap Victim With Family in Katsina

KATSINA, Katsina State, Nigeria — June 20, 2026 — Authorities and caregivers at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, have appealed to members of the public to help identify and reunite a recently rescued kidnap victim with his family.

The man was rescued by troops during security operations against criminal elements in Katsina State and is currently receiving medical attention at the hospital.

According to people caring for him, the survivor has only been able to state that he is from Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State, but he has been unable to provide additional information about his full identity, relatives, or place of residence.

Medical personnel and caregivers said the man is recovering from the condition he was found in after his rescue, while efforts are ongoing to trace his family members.

The appeal was made after those around him noticed difficulties in establishing contact with his relatives due to the limited information he has been able to provide.
