The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has approved the re-appointment of Mr. Olufisayo Amubode as the Director of FUNAAB Integrated Ventures. According to a letter conveying the approval, which was signed by the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, the re-appointment is for a period of two years, effective from July 24, 2026, to July 23, 2028. The re-appointment letter recognised Mr. Amubode's demonstrated leadership capacity, dedication and valuable contributions to the growth and development of the University.
The re-appointment underscores the university management's confidence in Mr. Amubode's ability to continue steering the university's commercial ventures, which are designed to generate internally generated revenue and support the institution's academic and administrative programmes. FUNAAB Integrated Ventures is the university's commercial arm, responsible for managing various business units, including the university's farm operations, food processing, and other entrepreneurial activities. The directorate plays a critical role in the university's drive toward financial sustainability, reducing over-dependence on government funding.
Mr. Amubode, who has served as Director of FIV for several years, has been credited with expanding the university's commercial footprint and strengthening its internally generated revenue base. His re-appointment is seen as a vote of confidence in his leadership and a recognition of the strategic importance of the directorate to the university's long-term sustainability. The university's management has expressed optimism that Mr. Amubode's continued leadership will further consolidate the gains recorded under his tenure and drive even greater achievements in the years ahead.
