A Nigeria Immigration Service officer, Joseph Ali, has tragically lost his life after a locally fabricated rifle he was handling accidentally discharged and struck him in the left eye at his residence in Compensation Layout, Old Kutunku, Abuja, on Friday, August 21, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. while Ali was preparing to leave for work, and shockingly unfolded in the presence of his wife and children, who witnessed the fatal accident unfold in their home.
