Bandits Abduct Kano Village Head in Late-Night Attack

Armed bandits have abducted the traditional ruler of Aujarawar Alkali community in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State, raising fresh security concerns in the rural community.

The monarch, Alhaji Ahmad Yakubu Ahmad, popularly known as Ruwata, was reportedly taken away during a late-night attack on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
