Three people abducted during a reported bandit attack on Dangamau community in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State have regained their freedom and been reunited with their families.
According to a statement from the victims’ family, the three were abducted during an overnight attack on the community before troops and local vigilantes confronted the attackers and forced them to retreat.
The family said the victims were subsequently rescued and reunited with their loved ones.
The family expressed appreciation to everyone who offered prayers, sent messages of support, visited or otherwise stood by them during the period of uncertainty.
It also specifically commended troops of 17 Brigade operating under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, as well as vigilantes who participated in the effort that led to the victims’ release.
The family described the intervention as a significant relief after the abduction and thanked the security personnel and residents who contributed to securing the victims’ freedom.
Dangamau is one of the communities in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State.
