
Nasarawa State – Governor Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule has welcomed a delegation from the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), led by Director General Mr. Adewale Smatt Oyerinde, for discussions on youth empowerment and skills development in the state.
During the audience, the NECA DG commended Governor Sule for his proactive partnership with the private sector and expressed NECA’s readiness to deepen engagement with Nasarawa State. Highlighting a new initiative, Mr. Oyerinde revealed that NECA, in collaboration with the International Organisation of Employers and supported by Microsoft, plans to train 100,000 youths nationwide, including those in Nasarawa, on the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Governor Sule welcomed the initiative, noting that equipping youths with cutting-edge digital skills is critical for fostering innovation, job creation, and sustainable development in Nasarawa State.
The collaboration underscores the state government’s commitment to empowering its young population with modern skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving global economy.
