Bauchi State Explores Collaboration with UNIMAID to Strengthen Education and Staff Capacity

The Bauchi State Ministry of Education has expressed commitment to building partnerships aimed at improving education and enhancing the professional capacity of personnel in the sector. This assurance was given by the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam, during a courtesy visit from a delegation of the University of Maiduguri’s Institute of Education, led by its Director, Professor Alex KJ Musa.

During the meeting, Dr. Rimin Zayam emphasised that the Ministry remains open to collaboration with reputable institutions that share the vision of advancing education in Bauchi State. “Our priority is the betterment of education and the continuous capacity building of our staff. We welcome partnerships that will help us achieve these objectives,” he stated.

Professor Musa highlighted that the visit was intended to explore areas of collaboration between the Institute and the Ministry, particularly in program development and professional training for teachers.

The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to deepen discussions on specific programs to be implemented in the near future, signalling a proactive step towards strengthening the education sector in Bauchi State.
