Governor Ademola Adeleke has successfully resolved recent internal disputes within the Ife Federal constituency of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), urging all party stakeholders to remain vigilant against divisive influences from opposition elements.

The high-powered reconciliation meeting was attended by notable party leaders, including Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, Deputy Senate Minority Leader Senator Lere Oyewumi, State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi, Secretary to the State Government Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, Chief of Staff Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, and Chairman of the Commissioners’ Forum Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, among other party stalwarts. The family feud was formally declared resolved, with a collective agreement to “forget and forgive” in preparation for next year’s electoral victories.

Governor Adeleke described the disagreement as a result of communication gaps and external efforts to create discord within the party. He commended leaders for their openness and cooperation, emphasizing unity and sustained work for the development of Ifeland.

“Throughout this meeting, I see Ile Ife PDP very truly united. There is a communication gap among the leaders, and signs of outsider plots to divide the party. Now that we understand the root of the matter, I charge us to return to work. Our administration has done much and will continue to do more. Ile Ife is PDP territory. Sustain the tempo,” Governor Adeleke said.

State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi described the incident leading to a vote of no confidence as a family matter, noting that all parties demonstrated genuine commitment to the party. He added that all statutory meetings for party mobilisation should reconvene, with party members collectively discouraging any actions that could be misinterpreted as anti-party.
