
Balarabe Rufa’i, National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), attended the official handover of a new Secretariat Complex donated by the ADC Youth Frontliners in Keana, Nasarawa State, on Monday, 8th September 2025. The event also saw the participation of former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, four former ministers, a former deputy governor, and the ADC State Coordinator, Chief Mike Abdul.
The journey from Abuja to Keana, passing through Akwanga and Lafia, was marked by visible enthusiasm from residents, reflecting a strong desire for political engagement and change among young Nigerians. Prior to the ceremony, the delegation visited the palace of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdullahi Osana-Hayatudeen, Emir of Keana, where they received blessings from the palace council in the Emir’s absence.
During the handover ceremony, Rufa’i reaffirmed ADC’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance, pledging a 50-50 representation of young people in leadership roles within Nasarawa State. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the Office of the National Youth Leader as a platform for empowerment, working closely with local frontliners and support groups. The ceremony concluded with the community honoring Rufa’i by dressing him in traditional attire, symbolizing their trust and acceptance.
