The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has restated the Federal Government’s commitment to completing the long-delayed Millennium Tower project in Abuja, positioning it as a true symbol of Nigeria’s cultural identity and national pride.

The Minister made this known during a working visit to the Nigerian Cultural Centre and Millennium Tower, where she was accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry. She emphasized that the current focus is on exploring sustainable and viable pathways to ensure the project’s completion and long-term functionality.

Musawa described the Millennium Tower not just as an architectural monument but as a future hub for tourism, art, and creative expression. According to her, once completed, the facility will serve as a landmark attraction capable of boosting Nigeria’s creative economy and strengthening Abuja’s global profile as a cultural capital.

She noted that the Ministry is carefully reviewing strategies to guarantee both completion and sustainability, ensuring that the project delivers tangible benefits to citizens while preserving its symbolic value for generations to come.

The Millennium Tower, conceived as part of Abuja’s cultural district, has remained incomplete for years due to funding and structural challenges. However, Musawa assured stakeholders that the administration is determined to unlock solutions that will finally bring the vision to life.
