The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Bauchi State and across the globe on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

In a goodwill message, Governor Bala Mohammed described the celebration as a period of joy, spiritual reflection, and an opportunity for Muslims to emulate the exemplary life of the Prophet. He urged the faithful to uphold values such as peace, love, compassion, generosity, tolerance, humility, honesty, and selflessness in their daily lives.

The Governor emphasized that Eid-el-Maulud offers a chance to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, promote unity, and foster peaceful coexistence. He called on all residents of Bauchi State to maintain harmony, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political differences, while praying for lasting peace and stability amid ongoing security challenges in the nation.

Acknowledging economic hardships faced by citizens, Governor Bala Mohammed assured that his administration remains committed to implementing measures to improve wellbeing and provide relief. He reiterated the government’s dedication to law and order, noting that security agencies are working tirelessly to protect lives and property across the State.

As part of these peace-building efforts, an interfaith committee comprising Muslim scholars and Christian clergy has been established to sensitize communities in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas on the importance of peaceful coexistence following recent politically motivated unrest disguised as farmers-herders conflicts. The Governor warned that any individual or group inciting violence would face the full force of the law.

Governor Bala Mohammed concluded by wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration and prayed for continued guidance and protection for Bauchi State, Nigeria, and the global Muslim community.
