President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid a glowing tribute to his wife and Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she marks her 65th birthday today, September 21, 2025.

In a heartfelt message from the Presidential Villa, the President described the First Lady as his “steadying anchor” whose quiet strength, devotion, and grace have stood the test of time through years of struggle, political exile, and national leadership.

“You are more than my wife. You are my confidant, counsellor, and the steady flame illuminating my path,” Tinubu said. “In you, our children and grandchildren see compassion and faith, and in you, our nation sees the true strength of womanhood—resolute yet tender, humble yet unshakably firm.”

The President highlighted her sacrifices over the decades, noting that Nigeria owes her gratitude for the burdens she carried behind the scenes in service to the country. He commended her warmth and empathy as First Lady, qualities he said continue to touch millions of lives across the nation.

“Today, as your husband, I thank God for your life, health, and unwavering love. As your President, I salute you as the First Lady whose impact is felt deeply across Nigeria. And as your lifelong companion, I say that I love you more than ever,” he added.

President Tinubu prayed for joy, peace, and fulfillment for the celebrant in the years ahead, describing her love as “a treasure I hold dear.”

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, a former lawmaker and current First Lady, is widely celebrated for her advocacy on education, women empowerment, and youth development.
