Joint Operation in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State

A joint operation between the military personnel from 63 Brigade Asaba, Divisional Police Headquarters Ogwashi-Uku, Anti-Kidnapping Squad Asaba, and Edo-Ogwashi Security has led to a significant breakthrough in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State. The operation resulted in the neutralization of kidnappers, recovery of ransom, and ammunition.

The joint operation successfully recovered millions of naira from kidnappers, one AK-47 rifle, three loaded AK-47 magazines, and 16 rounds of live ammunition. Two kidnappers were eliminated during the operation, while others fled the scene with bullet injuries.

The kidnappers were responsible for abducting two female students of Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku and an estate supervisor. The operation was facilitated by a tracker from the Delta State Government House Asaba.

The leader of the operation expressed gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for his unwavering support. Special thanks were also extended to the Military 63 Brigade Garrison Commander, the DPO Ogwashi-Uku, and the operation team for their prompt response and vigilance.

The successful operation is a testament to the effectiveness of joint security efforts in combating kidnapping and other crimes. The recovery of ransom and ammunition is a significant blow to the kidnappers, and the operation team deserves commendation for their bravery and professionalism. The Delta State Government's support for security operations is also noteworthy, and it is expected that such efforts will continue to yield positive results in the fight against crime.
