The Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has made a public appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), to lift the reported flight ban placed on Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1 (K1 De Ultimate).

In a video making rounds on social media and also shared via local media outlets, MC Oluomo passionately urged the federal government to reconsider the travel restriction, describing the veteran musician as a national treasure who has contributed immensely to Nigeria's cultural and entertainment heritage.

“I appeal to President Tinubu and Honourable Minister Festus Keyamo to lift the flight ban on our father and legend, Wasiu Ayinde. He is an icon who has always represented Nigeria well both at home and abroad,” Oluomo said in Yoruba, with the message translated for wider audiences.

Although the specific circumstances or official confirmation regarding the reported ban have not been fully detailed by aviation authorities, the public plea has drawn attention across entertainment and political circles.

KWAM 1, widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential traditional musicians, has maintained strong ties to political figures, including President Tinubu, and has performed at major national events. The alleged travel restriction has raised concerns among fans and associates alike.

As of the time of this report, the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has not issued an official statement addressing the situation.
