Vice President Pays Tribute to Late Emir of Zuru

The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, has paid tribute to the late Emir of Zuru, Major General Muhammadu Sani Sami (rtd.), describing his legacies as enduring and memorable.

Speaking on Friday during the funeral ceremony organized by the Kebbi State Government, the Vice President led the Federal Government delegation and extended the condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to both the state government and the family of the deceased.

He highlighted the vital role of traditional institutions in Nigeria, noting that monarchs and community leaders play a key part in sustaining peace and unity across the country.

The tribute reflects the continued recognition of traditional rulers as pillars of social cohesion and custodians of cultural heritage in Nigeria.
