
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former Finance Minister of Nigeria and current Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), has been named one of the 2025-2026 Carnegie Distinguished Fellows at Columbia University’s School of Public Affairs (SIPA) Institute of Global Politics. She has also been appointed to the University’s World Leaders Program.
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a globally respected economist and development expert with decades of experience in international finance, economic reform, and global trade. She served twice as Nigeria’s Finance Minister, where she spearheaded landmark reforms in public finance and debt management.
