The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) conducted a sensitization engagement on 22nd August 2025, bringing together retired immigration officers and operators of Free Trade Zones in Lagos and Ogun States to foster synergy, collaboration, and information sharing.

The Comptroller General of Immigration, KN Nandap, was represented by ACG FU Nwanneka, in-charge of the Visa and Residency Directorate, who delivered the keynote address. She emphasized the need for all stakeholders to align with the revamped and digitized Nigeria visa application process.

The Zonal Coordinator for Zone A, ACG EL Anugwa, welcomed participants and actively engaged them throughout the session. Presentations bridged policy and operations, highlighting NARIO’s advisory role in regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Comprehensive technical sessions were delivered on critical topics, including e-Visa, Regular Visa, e-CERPAC, e-TWP, Landing/Exit Card, and Amnesty, providing attendees with a thorough understanding of policy updates and workflow intricacies.

The successful engagement has strengthened collaboration between NIS, business regulators, and NARIO, ensuring smoother implementation of immigration policies and promoting enhanced operational efficiency within Free Trade Zones across Lagos and Ogun States.
