The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has conferred the Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) on the former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

The honour was bestowed during the fourth coronation anniversary of the revered monarch, held in Warri, Delta State. The event brought together dignitaries, traditional rulers, clerics, and community leaders to celebrate the king’s reign and his efforts in promoting peace, unity, and development in Iwere land.

Pastor Oritsejafor, a prominent cleric and founder of Word of Life Bible Church, has long been recognized for his contributions to Christianity in Nigeria and beyond. As CAN President from 2010 to 2016, he played a key role in advocating for religious tolerance, national unity, and support for underprivileged communities.

His recognition by the Warri Kingdom is seen as a reflection of his enduring impact, not only as a spiritual leader but also as a respected voice on national issues. The Royal Order of Iwere is traditionally reserved for individuals whose influence transcends boundaries and contributes to the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Itsekiri people.

The coronation anniversary celebration ended on a high note with cultural displays, prayers for the kingdom, and renewed calls for unity and progress in the Niger Delta.
