Progressive Governors Forum Condoles APC Leaders on Recent Family Losses

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, joined fellow governors of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in paying condolence visits to the APC National Chairman, Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, and his family following the recent passing of their parents.

The delegation, led by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, first visited the residence of the APC National Chairman to mourn the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda. Speaking on behalf of the Forum, Governor Uzodinma described the late matriarch as a pillar of strength whose values extended beyond her immediate family.

Responding, the National Chairman expressed gratitude to the Forum, saying, “Your presence gives me strength and confidence… There’s no replacement for a mother. Your support reminds me of the bond we share as members of this great party.” He also pledged to keep the Forum updated on funeral arrangements.

The PGF delegation subsequently visited Kogi State Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, who recently lost his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo. Governor Uzodinma expressed heartfelt sympathy, highlighting the significance of Ododo’s father witnessing his son’s emergence as Governor. Former Governor Yahaya Bello thanked the Forum for their solidarity, emphasizing the unity within the APC family.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, alongside Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, led prayers for the departed souls, reaffirming the Forum’s commitment to solidarity and support among party leaders.
