The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has entered into a strategic partnership with Pulse Africa to position Lagos as a leading hub for tourism, creativity, and cultural heritage across the continent.

The collaboration was announced during a courtesy visit by Pulse Media CEO, Ms. Katharina Link, and her team to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, in Alausa.

Mr. Aregbe commended Pulse for its role in amplifying Nigeria’s creative industries and youth culture, describing the organisation as a “natural partner” for Lagos’ tourism agenda. He highlighted the Ministry’s flagship programmes, including 101 Days in Lagos, Lagos Cultural Weekend, Skill Up Lagos, the Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair, and the E1 Championship, noting that Pulse will serve as the lead media partner for the Lagos Cultural Mission.

“Pulse is a strategic partner whose storytelling power can help us project the Lagos of our dreams. This collaboration is about amplifying Lagos to the world,” Aregbe said.

Ms. Link reaffirmed Pulse Africa’s commitment to showcasing Lagos’ creative energy and opportunities, saying the platform seeks to spotlight hidden gems and connect Lagos to audiences across Nigeria and beyond.

Also present was Ms. Tanaz of Awari/Lost in Lagos, who highlighted the value of partnerships between media platforms and government in shaping the city’s cultural identity.

In a related engagement, Mr. Aregbe hosted organisers of the upcoming international boxing tournament, Chaos in the Ring, scheduled for October 1. The event will feature over 150 athletes, including more than 50 international boxers, with global boxing icon Anthony Joshua confirming his attendance. The tournament will integrate sports, culture, and tourism, further cementing Lagos as a global entertainment destination.
