FG Urges ASUU to Hold Off on Strike Amid Ongoing Discussions

The Federal Government, through Minister of Education Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has urged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) not to initiate strike action while discussions with all parties are still ongoing.

Dr. Alausa emphasized that the government is making efforts to renovate secondary schools across the country and is committed to resolving pending issues with ASUU amicably.

According to The Nation, the Minister advised teams planning industrial action to postpone their strike plans to allow ongoing negotiations to continue, highlighting the importance of dialogue in addressing concerns.
