The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), in collaboration with SLL Pharmacovigilance (SLL PVG), has successfully conducted a two-day interactive training on pharmacovigilance, aimed at enhancing patient safety across Bayelsa State.
The training brought together selected members from primary, secondary, and tertiary health facilities, alongside representatives from the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) and the National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED). Participants engaged in practical and interactive sessions designed to improve monitoring, reporting, and management of adverse drug reactions.
The initiative underscores NAFDAC’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare delivery system through robust pharmacovigilance practices, ensuring the safety and efficacy of medicines for the Nigerian populace.
