The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has extended its neonatal and maternal health programme to Kano State, a move expected to further reduce infant mortality and enhance care for mothers and newborns.
So far, over 14,000 women nationwide have benefitted from the initiative, with Kano accounting for nearly half of those supported.
Anchored on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the programme underscores the administration’s commitment to equitable healthcare, ensuring that no mother or child is left behind.
