
A two-storey building collapsed at 4 Modupeola Street, Mangoro bus stop, Alimosho, Lagos State, around 6pm on Wednesday. The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined, with government authorities launching an immediate investigation.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) and other first responders promptly arrived at the scene, rescuing a trapped victim along with five others from the rubble. The five rescued individuals were taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
The trapped victim, a 44-year-old resident of 10 Olabode Street, Alimosho, sustained a fracture and bruises. He was transported by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency, where he arrived in stable condition and was admitted for further care.
Authorities have assured residents of a thorough investigation into the incident.
