His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, has been awarded the Most Youth-Friendly Governor by the Nigerian Defence College in recognition of his commitment to youth development and sports promotion.
The award was presented during an audience attended by officials of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, management teams of Nasarawa United and Nasarawa Amazons, and representatives from the National Defence College.
Also present were 15 members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) who recently completed strategic leadership training, 6 recipients of the President’s NYSC Honour Award, 2 Amazons players who featured in the Under-19 National Team, and 7 Nasarawa United feeder team players invited to the national squad.
The delegation was led by Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Yakubu Kwanta, who unveiled and presented the new Nasarawa United jersey, alongside Anas Yusuf, last season’s highest goal scorer in the Nigerian Premier League.
The award underscores Governor Sule’s dedication to creating opportunities for young people and promoting sports excellence in Nasarawa State.
