
The Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Project Monitoring, Engr. Dr. Goodnews G. Agbi, has carried out inspections of major ongoing projects in Asaba, Oreokpe, and Kiagbodo to evaluate progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
In Asaba, Engr. Agbi visited the storm water drainage channel connecting DBS Road, the Shoprite axis, and Summit Road. He noted that the project is at an advanced stage and affirmed that its completion will address perennial flooding issues in the city.
At the Southern University Oreokpe campus, the adviser confirmed that construction work has reached the final stage of corrections, with contractors assuring that the facilities will be handed over to the state government by the end of October.
In Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area, Engr. Agbi inspected the Technical College project. While acknowledging substantial progress across several buildings, he directed that identified faults in the administrative block be corrected immediately to maintain standards.
Engr. Agbi reiterated that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration prioritizes quality and durability in public infrastructure and remains committed to delivering projects that meet the expectations and needs of the people of Delta State.
