The Ministry of Petroleum Resources, in collaboration with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), convened the 27th Ministerial SERVICOM Networking Quarterly Committee Meeting (MSNQCM) on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at NMDPRA headquarters. The gathering brought together stakeholders from across the petroleum sector, including the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA), Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), National Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), and the host agency, NMDPRA.

The meeting featured goodwill messages, the adoption of minutes from the June 19, 2025 session, and presentations on third-quarter SERVICOM activities from participating agencies. Updates from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the National SERVICOM Office provided an overview of ongoing reforms and service delivery benchmarks.

During discussions, the committee identified key directives to enhance efficiency and accountability across the sector. These include strengthening inter-agency collaboration, standardizing service delivery protocols, implementing feedback mechanisms for stakeholders, and ensuring timely reporting of regulatory and operational metrics. Agencies were urged to integrate digital tools and innovative solutions to monitor performance, reduce delays, and improve transparency in petroleum operations.

The meeting reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering a culture of professionalism, transparency, and responsiveness within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. Stakeholders emphasized that improved service delivery will not only enhance regulatory compliance but also boost investor confidence and public trust in the petroleum industry.

The quarterly forum remains a critical platform for aligning sector policies, sharing best practices, and coordinating efforts that ensure Nigeria’s petroleum sector continues to operate efficiently and sustainably.
