Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, has approved the dissolution of all statutory and non-statutory boards and commissions in the state, effective Friday, October 3, 2025.
The directive, issued through the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, was made pursuant to Section 6 of the Statutory Boards (Special Provisions) Law 2023.
Governor Eno, in the statement, expressed appreciation to the chairmen and members of the dissolved boards and commissions for their contributions to the administration’s ARISE Agenda. He also wished them success in their future endeavours.
The announcement further directed that all government property in the possession of the affected officials be handed over to the most senior civil servant in each board or commission.
The decision is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional efficiency and reposition public service delivery in Akwa Ibom State.
