The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has successfully passed out 10,000 newly trained Constables, following the completion of their intensive training at various Police Colleges and Training Institutions across the country. The Passing Out Parade, conducted simultaneously on October 7, 2025, marks a major step in the Force’s efforts to strengthen manpower, improve operational capacity, and enhance public safety nationwide.
Addressing the new recruits, Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, praised their dedication and resilience during the demanding training process. He urged the Constables to uphold the values of integrity, diligence, and patriotism as they begin active duty, emphasizing that their conduct will shape public trust in the Force.
During the training, recruits were exposed to modern policing techniques, ethical standards, and practical field operations designed to equip them for the complexities of contemporary law enforcement. Emphasis was placed on intelligence-led policing, community engagement, human rights adherence, and responsible use of authority. These measures aim to ensure that policing in Nigeria meets both national expectations and international best practices.
The graduation forms part of the NPF’s strategic manpower development plan under the current administration, reinforcing its commitment to a more visible, responsive, and effective police presence across the nation. Earlier in January 2025, another set of 10,000 Constables had completed training and were deployed, highlighting the Force’s continuous efforts to expand and modernize its personnel base.
IGP Egbetokun reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to ongoing professional training, welfare enhancement, and institutional reforms. “Our objective is to sustain modern policing practices, maintain a secure environment for all Nigerians, and ensure that our officers are fully prepared to meet contemporary security challenges,” he said.
The newly graduated Constables are now expected to be deployed nationwide to support law enforcement, prevent crime, and foster safer communities.
