Nigeria Presents Dr. Taoheed Olufemi Elias to Diplomatic Community as ICJ Candidate

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, formally presented Dr. Taoheed Olufemi Elias, Nigeria’s candidate for the International Court of Justice (ICJ), to the diplomatic community on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

The presentation took place at the Rotunda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and was attended by members of the international diplomatic corps. The ceremony provided an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase Dr. Elias’s qualifications and experience to key foreign representatives, highlighting his suitability to represent the country on the global judicial stage.
