The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a public alert over the activities of one Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, a dismissed employee of the Service, who is allegedly using the agency’s name to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
According to the DSS, Mr. Godwin has been engaging in deceptive practices by presenting himself as a representative of the Service to extort money and other benefits from individuals. The Service emphasized that he no longer has any affiliation with the DSS and warned Nigerians to avoid any form of transaction or communication with him.
In a statement, the DSS cautioned members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity involving the individual or anyone claiming to act on behalf of the Service. Citizens are advised to verify all official engagements directly through DSS contact channels.
