Train Collides with Vehicles in Rumurolu, Port Harcourt; No Fatalities Reported

Port Harcourt, October 14, 2025 — Panic gripped Rumurolu, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday after a moving train collided with several vehicles stranded on the railway track due to heavy traffic.
Eyewitnesses reported that motorists, trapped in congestion, were unable to move their vehicles off the tracks in time as the train approached. Despite the severity of the crash, no fatalities or serious injuries were recorded. The incident, however, caused significant disruption, leading to traffic gridlock and heightened tension among commuters in the area.
Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution around railway crossings and to avoid blocking tracks, stressing the importance of vigilance to prevent similar incidents in the future.
