Tragedy struck Zaria, Kaduna State, on Monday evening as a nurse, Hadiza Musa, was killed by suspected “one-chance” robbers after being thrown from a moving tricycle, locally known as Keke Marwa. Eyewitnesses reported that Hadiza, unaware of the danger, boarded the vehicle, which was allegedly occupied by criminals specializing in targeting unsuspecting passengers.
The nurse sustained severe injuries from the fall and was later pronounced dead. Hadiza Musa served at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, and was laid to rest following Islamic rites.
Colleagues and friends mourned her passing, describing her as dedicated, humble, and compassionate, and noted that her death represents a significant loss to the medical community in the region.
