In a major shake-up within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Kaduna State chapter, the party has expelled its Deputy Chairman, Ahmed Tijani Mustapha, along with eight other members, citing serious breaches of party discipline and conduct.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) in Kaduna, following allegations that the expelled members engaged in activities undermining party leadership. The leadership accused them of insubordination, organizing unauthorized meetings, falsifying documents, and extorting party members, actions considered capable of tarnishing the ADC’s reputation.

Other officials affected by the expulsion include the State Publicity Secretary Idris Musa, State Vice Chairman (Zone 1) Sulaiman Abdullahi, State Treasurer Gambo Sani, State Financial Secretary Magaji Maiwada, State Legal Adviser Danlami Dabai Musa, State Coordinator for Persons With Disabilities Saura Muhammed, State Deputy Youth Leader Ibrahim Muhammed, and Mansur Gaga.

Speaking to journalists after the committee meeting, Kaduna State ADC Chairman, Elder Patrick Ambut, condemned the actions of the Deputy Chairman and the others, describing their behavior as an abuse of office that violated the party’s constitution. He stressed that Mustapha had no authority to convene meetings or issue directives on behalf of the party.

Ambut reiterated the party’s commitment to discipline, internal cohesion, and adherence to its constitutional framework, emphasizing that maintaining organizational integrity remained a top priority for the ADC in Kaduna State and across the North-West region.

The move underscores the ADC leadership’s determination to enforce internal regulations and curb activities that threaten party unity, signaling zero tolerance for conduct deemed detrimental to its structure.
