A mentally unstable woman was promptly rescued by the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development’s Rescue Team after a distress report alerted authorities to her situation.

The woman, described as well-dressed, reportedly took an Uber from Lekki to the Panti Police Station where she attempted to file a complaint against the sun. Responding swiftly, the Ministry’s team intervened and transferred her to a state-run rehabilitation centre where she is receiving both medical and psychological care to aid her recovery.

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, commended the Rescue Team for their quick and professional response, noting the importance of rapid action in such cases.

Permanent Secretary Pharm. (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu urged the public to report life-threatening situations promptly. She emphasized the Ministry’s “See Something, Say Something” initiative and encouraged residents to call 0913 205 5075 to alert authorities to any similar incidents.
