Justice Musa Kakaki of the Federal High Court, Lagos, has ordered the temporary forfeiture of property belonging to popular socialite and entertainer Pretty Mike, following allegations that the premises were being used for drug storage and distribution.
The order was issued on Tuesday, November 4, after an ex-parte application by NDLEA counsel Buhari Abdulahi. The application claimed that the building, located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, and operating as Proxy Lagos Night Club, was being used as a hub to store and distribute 169 cylinders (384.662 kilograms) of nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, and 200 grams of Cannabis Sativa.
The NDLEA alleged that the nightclub is owned by Mike Nwalie (Pretty Mike) and Joachim Hillary, who allegedly used the venue to prepare for a “large-scale drug party.” Abdulahi, in a motion dated October 27, 2025, urged the court to grant an interim forfeiture order to the Federal Government, describing the nightclub as an “instrumentality of crime” under the NDLEA Act. He argued that the order was necessary to preserve the integrity of the property during the ongoing investigation, stressing that no party would be unduly prejudiced by the court’s decision.
Deputy Commander of Narcotics, Nasiru Garba Bungudu, stated that NDLEA operatives, acting on credible intelligence received in October 2025, raided the nightclub on October 26, 2025, around midnight. During the operation, officers reportedly recovered the 169 cylinders of nitrous oxide, 200 grams of cannabis, and arrested more than 200 individuals, including the two property owners.
The affidavit further alleged that the nightclub had a history of drug-related activities, carried out with the knowledge and consent of its owners, prompting the agency to take decisive legal action.
