Maiduguri, Borno State – The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, on 5th November 2025, received leadership representatives from the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Borno State Chapter, and the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA) in a series of strategic engagement meetings.
During the visit, Alhaji Babagana Alkali, State Chairman of NAPPS, explained that the engagement was part of an ongoing school outreach initiative designed to launch the National Crime Awareness Programme in Maiduguri schools. The initiative is in collaboration with the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), aiming to educate students on safety and crime prevention.
In a separate meeting, Abubakar Suleiman, General Manager of BOSEPA, along with his management team, emphasized the goal of strengthening cooperation with the Police Command to enhance enforcement of environmental sanitation laws throughout the state.
Responding to both delegations, CP Abdulmajid expressed appreciation for their visits and reaffirmed the Borno State Police Command’s commitment to sustaining partnerships that align with the vision and transformational leadership of the Inspector General of Police. He assured that the Command will continue supporting strategic collaborations and urged the public to cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace, safety, and environmental discipline across the state.
This engagement underscores the Police Command’s proactive approach in fostering collaboration with both educational institutions and environmental agencies to promote community safety and compliance with regulations.
