The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has issued a formal disclaimer to the general public and international stakeholders, denouncing claims that one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has been appointed to lead a so-called "Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council." Gbajabiamila clarified that no such office exists under the current administration and that no appointment has been made in that regard.
The disclaimer, released on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and published on the official State House website, states that it has come to the notice of the Federal Government that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, under the auspices of the alleged organisation, has been “portraying himself to the general public, as having been appointed by my office.” The statement warned the “unsuspecting public” that such an office does not exist and that no appointment has been made.
Gbajabiamila specifically advised Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Organisations, and Security Agencies to take note of the notice. A quick search of the organisation's Instagram page showed it describing itself as a government entity “facilitating global partnerships & foreign investment into Nigeria,” often using official government logos to organise “investment” summits and identifying Adeyemi as its director-general.
The Presidency reiterated its commitment to protecting the integrity of public institutions and urged stakeholders to verify appointments through established government channels.
