Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recorded significant successes in their ongoing campaign against terrorism and banditry in the North-West, repelling multiple terrorist attacks across Katsina and Zamfara states and rescuing a kidnapped traditional ruler, according to the military.

The military said troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, five magazines, 43 rounds of ammunition and two motorcycles, while rescuing the abducted district head of Farin Hawa, Mubarak Sharin, during a pursuit operation in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State. Two suspected terrorists were also reportedly killed in separate engagements.
