The National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Balarabe Rufa’i, has called on Nigerian youths to take charge of the country’s political future by registering and securing their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a youth gathering in Bauchi on Saturday, Rufa’i described the event as “inspiring,” noting the strong turnout of young people who, he said, demonstrated readiness to shape the nation’s direction.

During the programme, Rufa’i presented the ADC flag to the Convener, Hon. Ahmad Shehu Hassan (Na-Allah), which he described as both a symbol of unity and a charge of responsibility. He also expressed appreciation to party leaders, supporters, media professionals, and security operatives who contributed to the success of the event.

“The ADC National Youth Ambassadors (ANYA) have shown that politics can be people-driven, youth-driven, and future-driven. With over 70% of Nigerians under 35, the youth cannot afford to remain passive,” Rufa’i said, stressing that the momentum from Bauchi must spread across the country.

He pledged to continue taking the message of political participation to all parts of Nigeria, urging young citizens to register continuously, safeguard their PVCs, and support the ADC in its drive for change.
