
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has inaugurated the boards of the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu (ASCETA), and the Abia State Transport Corporation, appointing Dr. Joe Emeson as Chairman of ASCETA and Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba as Chairman of Abia Transport.
The inauguration took place on Monday, following the weekly State Executive Council meeting. Governor Otti congratulated the appointees and expressed gratitude for their willingness to serve the State. He urged them to demonstrate dedication and commitment in their roles, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to Abia’s development.
“I want to thank you for accepting to serve your State. The job requires full commitment. You were selected from among many qualified people, and I am confident that you will give your best to the State,” Governor Otti stated.
Dr. Joe Emeson, Chairman of ASCETA, described education as the foundation of societal development and assured that he would uphold the trust placed in him.
Meanwhile, Mr. Emmanuel Ufomba, Chairman of the Abia State Transport Corporation, thanked the Governor for the appointment and expressed his commitment to advancing the transport sector in line with government plans. “This is my area of competence, and by the grace of God, I will put in my best to make a bold mark in the Abia transport sector,” he stated.
