The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaltungo Local Government Area has strengthened its ranks following the formal introduction of key political figures into the party. The APC Chairman of Kaltungo LGA, Comrade Ayuba Hassan, alongside the Council Chairman, Dr. Iliya Suleiman, and the State Publicity Secretary, Moses Kyari, led Air Commodore Danladi Bausa (RTD), a prominent political figure who recently decamped from the PDP, to the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, for formal introduction.
Other notable introductions included Barrister Japhet Maida, who joined the ruling party after retiring from public service, and Mr. Dimas Kalorgu, who also defected from the PDP to the APC. During the meeting, party leaders emphasized the importance of unity among party members to ensure progress and success at the local government level.
The decampees praised the transformation agenda of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the APC, citing it as a key factor in their decision to join the ruling party. They also pledged to actively work towards attracting more supporters ahead of the 2027 elections.
Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Secretary to the State Government, welcomed the development, commending the party chairman and council leadership for their efforts in reaching out to members of other political parties. He expressed confidence that with these recent developments, the APC in Kaltungo LGA is well positioned for success in the 2027 elections.
