The political landscape in Kaduna South Local Government witnessed a major realignment as the All Progressives Congress (APC) formally welcomed Hon. Hussaini Abdulkarim, the Member representing Kaduna South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, who described Abdulkarim’s decision to join the ruling party as a defining moment for APC in Kaduna South. He emphasized that the lawmaker’s move represents not only a personal choice but also a reflection of the growing appeal and strength of the APC across the state.
Stakeholders of the party in Kaduna South praised Abdulkarim’s defection, describing it as a timely boost that will further enhance grassroots mobilization and improve the party’s electoral chances in upcoming elections. “As one united family, the APC assures all new members of fairness, inclusiveness, and a true sense of belonging. The leadership of the APC also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the administration of Governor Uba Sani at the state level and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the national level. In his welcome remarks, Rt. Hon.
