Deputy Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives and leader of the North Central Caucus, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for inaugurating the governing boards of three newly established regional development commissions.
The inauguration of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), South-South Development Commission (SSDC), and South West Development Commission (SWDC) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and attended by top government officials, lawmakers, and ministers.
Speaking at the event, Rt. Hon. Wase commended the President’s commitment to balanced national development, describing the commissions as a bold, visionary move aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“As leader of the North Central Caucus, I see the NCDC board as a victory for our people and a testament to the President’s dedication to equitable progress across all regions,” Wase said. He congratulated the newly inaugurated board members, expressing confidence in the leadership of Dr. Cyril Tsenyil to drive meaningful transformation in the North Central region.
He further pledged legislative support and oversight to ensure the commissions deliver measurable results for citizens, stressing that regional integration and equity are vital for Nigeria’s collective prosperity.
The inauguration of the boards, observers noted, represents a significant stride by the Federal Government toward addressing developmental gaps, strengthening regional integration, and advancing inclusive growth nationwide.
