Kaduna State has entered into three major Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent state visit to Brazil, marking a significant step in the state’s drive for economic transformation and global partnerships.
Governor Uba Sani, who led the Kaduna delegation, described the agreements as “frameworks of transformation” designed to reshape the state’s socio-economic future through innovation, collaboration, and youth empowerment.
The first MoU, signed with SAMPRES, focuses on boosting dairy production using advanced Girolando cattle genetics and reproductive technologies. The initiative is expected to reduce import dependence, establish a high-yield dairy system, and make Kaduna a regional hub for modern dairy farming.
The second partnership, with SENAI, Brazil’s foremost vocational and technical institution, will strengthen skills development in Kaduna. The agreement covers the co-creation of curricula in 13 technical disciplines and the establishment of a dual certification programme to ensure local graduates meet international standards.
The third MoU, with CAMPO, targets agricultural transformation by converting underutilized farmland into modern agro-industrial zones. The project will include soil rehabilitation, irrigation, mechanization, and value chain development for key crops and livestock.
Governor Sani said the agreements demonstrate Kaduna’s commitment to building a knowledge-based, self-sustaining economy driven by innovation and the dignity of labour.
