Governor Nasir Idris Pledges Inclusive Development, Bags New Traditional Title from Zabarmawa Community

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has vowed to sustain his administration’s drive for infrastructural growth and equitable governance across the state.

Speaking in Birnin Kebbi during a courtesy visit by the Zabarmawa Development Association (ZADA), the Governor described his election as divinely ordained and assured citizens that he would continue to deliver tangible dividends of democracy. He stressed that his government remains focused on welfare, security, and fairness for all residents.

Governor Idris announced a ₦50 million empowerment package for the Zabarmawa community and outlined plans to simplify voter registration ahead of the 2027 general elections. He praised the Zabarmawa people as hardworking and trustworthy contributors to Kebbi’s progress.

The event also drew commendations from the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, who applauded the Governor’s rapid infrastructural achievements and rising national recognition.

Leaders of the Zabarmawa community, including Sarkin Zabarmawan Besse, Alhaji Bello, and Sarkin Zabarmawan Kebbi, Rt. Hon. Samaila Abdulmumin Kamba, lauded the Governor’s inclusive leadership.

In appreciation of his efforts, the community conferred on him the traditional title of “Garkuwan Zabarmawan Najeriya.” An elated Governor Idris said the honor would further inspire him to serve the people diligently.
