Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured students and stakeholders of his administration’s commitment to the timely completion of the Ada-Ire road, confirming that the first phase of the project has been successfully delivered.

Responding to concerns raised by student groups, the Governor explained that the project is being executed in three phases, with the 1.6 km stretch of Phase 1 already completed. He further revealed that work on Phase 2 will commence shortly to fast-track the overall completion of the road.

Governor Adeleke commended the students for their patriotism and constructive calls for improved infrastructure, noting that the Commissioner for Education has been directed to engage with student representatives and other stakeholders on both the road project and related development issues.

Reiterating his administration’s openness to dialogue, the Governor announced plans to convene a stakeholders’ conference where positive developmental strides across Osun will be discussed with youths, campus groups, and other civic bodies.

While acknowledging the importance of civic engagement, Governor Adeleke cautioned against politicizing developmental issues, stressing that such distractions could undermine the peace and progress of the state.

“Our administration is delivering good governance across all sectors, and we value the support of every section of Osun society,” the Governor said. “We must, however, remain vigilant against desperate politicians seeking to exploit genuine concerns for their selfish interests. The Ada-Ire road project is already receiving full government attention.”
