Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., delivered a powerful goodwill address earlier today at the 2025 African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit in Abuja. The summit, themed “Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa: The Role of Strategic Defence Collaboration,” brought together top military leaders from across Africa, alongside Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima (GCON), representing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

In his remarks, Engr. Ojulari highlighted NNPC Ltd.’s proactive measures against crude oil theft, achieved through strategic collaboration with government security agencies. He noted that these efforts have resulted in near 100% crude oil pipeline availability, securing the nation’s energy infrastructure and boosting operational efficiency.

Ojulari also emphasized the need for enhanced regional and continental cooperation to safeguard Africa’s natural resources and foster economic growth. He called on African nations to strengthen intelligence sharing, security collaboration, and joint frameworks to combat emerging threats to peace and stability on the continent.

NNPC Ltd. reaffirmed its commitment to supporting military and intelligence agencies in Nigeria while looking forward to implementing broader continental strategies emerging from the summit to promote energy security, economic development, and shared prosperity across Africa.
